← Back to Reading MAM-parsed-plus
This template houses the unpointed next-to-last verse of Isaiah, Malakhi, Lamentations, and Ecclesiastes. These four books of the Bible end with a verse of rather negative tone. There is a tradition that prevents these verses from being the last verses recited. The tradition is to recite the next-to-last verse after reciting the last verse. To notate this tradition, some editions repeat the next-to-last verse, in unpointed form, after the officially-last verse. This template helps create such editions.
In practice, it is always nested inside נוסח in the
good_ending_plus field of the book39 header.
